Week Two
So today I attempted to wash my hair and put it in some sort of style. I decided to try bamboo twists and well they just did not come out right. It think they will look good once I cut off the rest of my permed hair. Also I washed my hair twice but I still have dandruff! Ugh, my hair is growing so fast I can't keep up with it. Perhaps that is a perk! I will post a picture of my bamboo twists later..

ReplyDeleteLet me try to clarify my earlier post. My mother is in the process of going natural. She is waiting until she has enough new growth before getting twist. I think it is ironic that she bought me a cassette tape 20 years ago (my first rap tape) with a guy rapping about natural hair styles and other ethnic expressions. When I listen to the song today, I smile and remember the times.

Self expression is a natural part of our evolution as people. We should celebrate and recognize important changes in our lives. Congratulations on your journey. I'll make sure I chill on the wine before I start posting and deleting stuff next time!
